Essential Functions
Installs, maintains, repairs, calibrates and tests a wide variety of electrical/electronic equipment and instruments including, but not limited to: specialized computers, conduits, circuit breakers, wire, motors, motor controllers, relays, junction boxes, pneumatic components, hydraulic systems, photo-electric sensors, flow meters, measuring devices, pressure and temperature transducers, telemetry and SCADA systems, programmable logic controllers, traffic signals and controllers, and HVAC units; reads and interprets circuit diagrams, ladder logic, construction drawings and service and repair manuals; prepares plans and specifications for the procurement of parts and supplies on assigned projects; ensures that proper safety precautions and safe work methods are followed; prepares standard operating procedures; prepares and maintains accurate maintenance and repair records; presents oral and written reports; uses and maintains a wide variety of tools and test equipment; utilizes self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as required. Marginal Functions: Trains employees as assigned; oversees the work of City and contract personnel on appropriate projects; performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

- Overseas experience in Onshore and Offshore Oil / Gas & Mining Industries

Experience in the following areas
- Electrical and instrumentation installation / commissioning and tendering in the power, petrochemical and mining industries.
- Project planning, monitoring & management.
- Contractual negotiations.
- Technical writing, procedures in electrical / instrumentation & mechanical.
- Report writing and documentation control
- Hazardous area inspections, package compliance inspection.
- Procurement and inspection of components & equipment
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Programs and some experience with Autocad & Microstation in the drafting field.
